2022 Citroen C5 Aircross facelift launched in India; Know specs, price and more

The French carmaker Citroen debuted in India last year with its Citroen C5 Aircross SUV. Now, the company has launched an updated 2022 Citroen C5 Aircross facelift trim with new design upgrades and features. The ex-showroom price of the new iteration of Citroen C5 Aircross is Rs 36.67 lakhs.

However, the first Citroen C5 Aircross has managed to get nominal interest in terms of sales numbers but the car undoubtedly has made quite an impact for its comfort and luxury features. Nevertheless, the new C5 Aircross inherits the mechanical components from the original variant, let’s find out what’s new in it.

2022 Citroen C5 Aircross facelift features

The 2022 Citroen C5 Aircross arrives with a new front face including split headlights with twin DRLs, redesigned front bumper, and illuminating branding. It sports new pair of taillights, matte black roof rails, and unique-design 18-inch alloy wheels.

The interior of Citroen C5 Aircross facelift gets a new 10-inch touchscreen infotainment display and a smart driver’s cluster with 3 personalisation modes and 3 ambience options – brown, blue, and red. Other features include keyless entry and start, a wireless charging dock, a panoramic sunroof, and a black interior ambience.

Citroen C5 Aircross is powered by a 2L turbocharged diesel engine to spit out a power of 177PS and a peak torque of 400Nm. The SUV is mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox. It is claimed to offer a fuel efficiency of 17.5kmpl. The fuel tank capacity is 52.5 litres.

Safety features comprise six airbags, a blind spot information system, Electronic Stability Program, hill descent control, hill start assists, traction control, electric parking braking, reversing camera with front and rear parking sensors, 3-point ISOFIX mountings, and a coffee break alert. 

Talking about the rivalries, the new C5 Aircross will have to compete with the 2022 MG Gloster, Hyundai Tucson, Jeep Meridian, and Skoda Kodiaq. The company is currently selling its budget-range compact SUV Citroen C3 starting at Rs 5.71 lakh in India.
