2022 Hero Optima CX electric scooter launched in India; Here are the specs and price

Hero Electric has introduced the 2022 Hero Optima CX lineup electric scooter in India. The two-wheeler leader in India has launched two models of the updated Hero Optima CS electric scooters namely CX and CX ER (Extended Range).

The 2022 version of Hero Optima has arrived with major updates in design, battery, power, and other features.

2022 Hero Optima CX specs 

The two models of Hero Optima CX series electric scooters have been added to the company’s portfolio replacing the old Optima HX lineup. Hero Electric has induced major upgrades in the mechanicals and physical appearance of the 2022 Optima CX.

Among the two models, the standard CX variant packs a single 30Ah battery rated with 52.2V to deliver a claimed range of 82km. The enhanced CX ER model houses two battery packs of the same capacity to offer an improved range of 140km.

The e-scooter is equipped with a 550W electric motor producing a peak power of 1.6bhp. The CX model gets a top speed of 45kmph while the higher variant will go up to 48kmph. The braking power is claimed to provide 30% better efficiency while a 25% more powerful overall performance compared to the company’s existing models.

Both the models’ CX and CX ER take around 4-5 hours to be fully recharged whereas the upper model ships with a better charging setup. Other features include reverse mode, cruise control, walk assist, USB charging port, anti-theft alarm, and a digital display.

2022 Hero Optima CX Price and Availability

The ex-showroom price of the standard 2022 Hero Electric Optima CX in Delhi is Rs 62,190 while the ex-showroom price of the higher Optima CX ER is Rs 77,490. The Optima CX is available for purchase across different states in India. It arrives in three colour shades – Grey, Blue, and White.
