2022 Hyundai Creta facelift is due to enter the Indian border and the company is highly expected to launch the compact SUV before the end of the financial year 2022-23. The South Korean company has already introduced the Creta facelift in certain markets including Indonesia and South Africa.

As for India is concerned, Hyundai has recently launched the 2022 Tucson in the country and is believed to introduce the awaited Creta facelift only after Tucson goes on sale. Nevertheless, we have quite a little information to discuss the Hyundai Creta facelift at this stage.

2022 Hyundai Creta features expectations

The upcoming 2022 Hyundai Creta Facelift is anticipated to get a major cosmetic trim, especially to the front fascia. It is almost sure to borrow the signature parametric jewel front grilles from Tucson with integrated LED DRLs on both sides. The headlamp will be embedded in the redesigned bumper. The tailgates will also get a major update but won’t be connected with each other. The side profile could remain the same.

Safety features could remain standard including 6 airbags, electronic stability control, ABS with EBD, and rear parking sensors.

Hyundai Creta Facelift (South Africa version)

The South African variant of the Hyundai Creta facelift comes with a single 1.5L petrol mill producing power of 114PS and 144Nm peak torque. A similar iteration is expected for the Indian version as well while retaining the existing 115PS 1.5-litre diesel and 140PS 1.4-litre turbo-petrol powertrains.

It’s too early to guess the price of the upcoming Hyundai Creta facelift though it could pricier than the existing models. Currently, Hyundai Creta is retailing from Rs 10.44 lakh to Rs 18.18 lakh (ex-showroom) in Delhi. The newly launched Creta Knight version is selling from Rs 13.51 lakh onwards.
