The new Mahindra Scorpio N offers a wide range of variants to a count of 40 models including 23 diesel variants, 13 petrol variants, and 4 Scorpio Classic models.

Mahindra has finally unveiled its much talked about Scorpio N in India. The popular SUV has now completed 20 successful years to celebrate that the company has launched the Scorpio N in the country. It comes with a updated design including company’s new Twin Peaks logo. The booking for the 2022 Scorpio N starts on July 30.

The homegrown carmaker has brought the new Mahindra Scorpio N targetting it’s rival such as Tata Harrier, Tata Safari, MG Hector, Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta, and Skoda Kushaq. Let’s discuss more on the prices and specifications of the new SUV.

2022 Mahindra Scorpio N Prices

The 2022 Mahindra Scorpio N has been priced at Rs 11.99 lakh in India for the base petrol model which goes up to Rs 19.49 lakh for the top model diesel model. The prices for the petrol and diesel variants with 4WD drivetrain are due to be announced on July 21. The model-wise pricing is as follows:

  • Z2 – ₹12.49 lakh

  • Z8L – ₹19.49 lakh

The aforementioned prices are introductory for now and will be valid for the first 25,000 bookings all across India. Since the company is taking bookings at a token amount of Rs 25,000, customers wishing to change options like variant, engine, or colour can do so within 2 weeks of their booking.

2022 Mahindra Scorpio N Exterior

The new Mahindra Scorpio N gets the original boxy silhouette with different cosmetic upgrades. It now comes with more rounded edges with a front face comprising multi-slated grilled with chrome addition and a new logo. The 2022 Scorpio N sports twin projector LED headlights integrated with LED DRLs and C-shaped fog lamps. 

The new SUV gets wider wheel arches and includes 18-inch machine-cut dual-tone alloy wheels improving the side profile. It has chrome-textured door handles and a sting chrome window line.

The Scorpio N has minor changes to the back profile that include vertically stacked LED tail lights, a flat tailgate, and silver bash plates. It also has distinctive roof rails, a spoiler, and a new shark fin antenna.

2022 Mahindra Scorpio N Interior

The interior of the 2022 Scorpio N gets a more tech update including an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment display with AdrenoX support, a 7-inch digital driver cluster, an electric sunroof, rear AC vents, and built-in Amazon Alexa support. The upholstery gets a new finish with dual-tone trim of black and tan brown shades. The company offers Scorpion N in six and seven-seat options.

It offers safety features including 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX child seat mounts, rear parking camera, hill hold control, hill descent control, ESP, TPMS and driver drowsiness detection system.

2022 Mahindra Scorpio N Engine

Mahindra has configured the 2022 ScorpioN with two engine options – 2.0L mStallion turbo petrol unit and 2.2L mHawk diesel mill offering 6-speed manual or torque converter automatic transmissions.

The petrol engine delivers an output of 200bhp and 370/380Nm peak torque while the diesel variant offers output with different figures. The base model goes up to 130bhp and 300Nm torque while the top variant churns out 175bhp with 370Nm for manual and 400Nm for automatic gearboxes.

The company also brings the 4×4 wheel drive with a new “4Xplor” trademark offering a better ground clearance. The model offers different terrain modes including mud, snow, sand, and grass.
