2022 Tata Tigor EV goes official in India: Know the complete details

Tata Motors has launched an upgraded version of Tata Tigor EV in the Indian electric mobility market. The latest addition to its extensive EV portfolio offers an improved range, updated features, and an additional Magnetic Red colour variant.

2022 Tata Tigor EV Price and Availability

Tata Motors has brought the redesigned Tigor EV electric sedan in four different variants that include the XE, XT, XZ+, and XZ+ LUX. The colour variants are Magnetic Red, Signature Teal Blue, and Daytona Grey. The ex-showroom India prices of each model of the 2022 Tata Tigor EV are as follows:

  • Tata Tigor EV XE: Rs 12,49,000 
  • Tata Tigor EV XT: Rs 12,99,000 
  • Tata Tigor EV XZ+: Rs 13,49,000 
  • Tata Tigor EV XZ+ Lux: Rs 13,75,000

2022 Tata Tigor EV Design

The homegrown vehicle maker has upgraded the 2022 Tata Tigor EV with auto headlamps, leatherette upholstery, rain-sensing wipers, Cruise control, chrome inner door handles, a rear armrest, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. The upgraded model also comes standard with a tyre puncture repair kit, Multi-Mode regen, smartwatch connectivity, iTPMS, and ZConnect – Tata’s connected car technology.

2022 Tata Tigor EV Power

Tata has equipped the 2022 Tigor EV with the same 26kWh battery pack that powered the original Tigor EV generating 74bhp and 170Nm of torque. Though the brand claims to offer an improved ARAI range of 315 km per single charge. The existing Tigor EV offers 306km of range. It can accelerate from 0 to 60kmph in 5.7 seconds.

2022 Tata Tigor EV: Other Features

Other features remain the same including an IP67 rating, LED daytime running lights, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and 15-inch alloy wheels.

Furthermore, Tata Motors has announced extending free software upgrades for the existing Tigor EV users, as it had done with Nexon EV Prime earlier. The services will start on December 20, 2022, at Tata Motors authorized service centers.
