The 2025 Hyundai Venue’s price starts from Rs. 7.90 lakhs (ex-showroom) for the entry-level HX2 trim, and, of course, you can get this trim if you’re on an absolute budget crunch. However, our recommendation for anyone who can spend around Rs. 10 lakhs ex-showroom is the HX5 trim. It is available with both NA petrol and turbo petrol engines, mated to five-speed and six-speed manual transmissions, respectively.

My Personal Recommendation

If you’re getting the 2025 Venue primarily for a comfortable city commute and you’re fine with a manual transmission, the HX5 Petrol MT priced at Rs. 9.15 lakhs (ex-showroom) should do absolutely fine for you. It has most of the necessary features and some good-to-have features, such as an electric sunroof. The 1.2 NA petrol engine is one of the most refined and reliable in its segment, though don’t expect it to do wonders in the acceleration and mileage fronts.
However, if you’re a driving enthusiast who wants a more responsive, peppy engine and frequently commutes on expressways or highways, I’d recommend the 1.0L turbo petrol engine. It is priced at Rs. 9.74 lakhs (ex-showroom), so you’d get the stipulated tax benefit in states that impose higher road tax on vehicles priced over Rs. 10 lakhs (ex-showroom).
However, the main reason for choosing this variant is the 1.0L turbo petrol engine, which offers much more power and torque than the NA engine, is mated to a six-speed manual transmission (so it should provide better fuel economy, especially on higher speeds), and offers a more engaging driving experience.
