Kia has officially released the facelifted EV6. While the pre-facelift version turned quite a lot of heads on the roads, the refreshed variant is even sleeker. Though the electric vehicle generates the same amount of power as the outgoing model, it gets a larger 84 kWh battery that lasts more between charges. The car now costs Rs. 65.5 lakhs (ex-showroom). Here’s how it compares with its competitors.

2025 Kia EV6 vs. Competition: Key Takeaways
- While the BYD Sealion 7 remains the longest vehicle in the segment (with a length of 4,830 mm), the Kia EV6 comes second (4,695 mm).
- The same can be said for EV6’s width: it is the second-widest car in the comparison. However, it is also the shortest among the five electric vehicles.
- Kia EV6’s boot capacity isn’t the best in the segment, but it isn’t the worst.
- The EV’s ground clearance is among the better ones, though.
- The 2025 Kia EV6 facelift has the largest battery pack of the five vehicles in the comparison. It is still an NMC battery, but Kia says that it has increased its battery density, leading to a decrease in the battery’s weight.
- With a massive battery, the EV6 now claims a WLTP range of 581 kilometers for the all-wheel-drive variant, and that is excellent.
- In India, the Kia EV6 is only available in the AWD GT-Line variant. It features two motors that produce a combined output of 325 hp and 605 Nm. These aren’t the best power figures in the segment, as the AWD BYD Sealion 7 produces 530 ps and 690 Nm, while the Volvo C40 produces 402 bhp and 660 Nm.
- Regarding charging, the 2025 Kia EV6 shares its maximum charging speed with the Hyundai Ioniq 5. Both vehicles can go from 10 to 80% in 18 minutes with a 350 kW charger.
