TL; DR
- The entry-level 2025 Mahindra Thar AXT RWD variant is now Rs. 32,000 more affordable, starting just under Rs. 10 lakh. However, the LXT 4WD AT trim now costs Rs. 38,000 more than the top trim of the outgoing model.
- The 2025 Mahindra Thar three-door model features several exterior updates. For instance, the front grille is no longer black; instead, it is body-colored.
- On the inside, the vehicle gets a new single-tone blacked-out dashboard, along with a new, modern-looking steering wheel, a larger 10.25-inch infotainment system, and a button to open the fuel lid.
- The baseline AXT trim offers features like halogen headlights, 16-inch steel wheels, an all-black dashboard, a manual air conditioner, keyless entry, dual-front airbags, ESC, hill hold assist, ABS with EBD, and a rear defogger.
The Indian automaker Mahindra has launched the 2025 facelifted version of the three-door Thar. The good news is that the entry-level variant is cheaper than before — it now starts under Rs. 9.99 lakh. However, the top model is more expensive than the outgoing three-door Thar’s top trim. Moreover, the new Thar gets a couple of exterior updates, but many more interior updates, including much-needed features that were missing from the previous model.

2025 Mahindra Thar (3-Door) Exterior & Interior

The 2025 Mahindra Thar three-door model features several exterior updates. For instance, the front grille is no longer black; instead, it is body-colored. Furthermore, the front bumper is dual-tone. While there are no noticeable changes on the outside, the vehicle receives a rear parking camera, along with a wiper with a washer, a feature that the outgoing model lacked.
On the inside, the vehicle gets a new single-tone blacked-out dashboard, along with a new, modern-looking steering wheel, a larger 10.25-inch infotainment system, a button to open the fuel lid (that’s right, it comes as an improvement on the facelifted Mahindra Thar), power window switches on the doors, and rear AC vents. The layout of the controls, AC vents, and the screen on the dashboard remains similar, however.
