2026 Kia Seltos: Variant-Wise Features Explained (Confirmed)

Although Kia hasn’t unveiled the final pricing yet, it has revealed the list of variants and the features that they’ll offer. Here’s a quick, variant-by-variant features breakdown.

2026 Kia Seltos HTE

This is the baseline variant of the upcoming Seltos (for both petrol and diesel powertrains), but the feature list surely doesn’t make it seem so.

For the premium you pay over the outgoing generation, you get features such as 16-inch steel wheels with covers, rear spoiler with high-mounted stop lamp, flush door handles (manual), driver’s seat height adjustment, steering-mounted controls (including cruise control), 12-inch instrument cluster, and 10.25-inch infotainment screen with wireless smartphone projection systems, total of four USB ports, keyless entry, armrest in the center console, manual air conditioner (with rear AC vents), and electrically adjustable ORVMs.

What’s good is that Kia also provides several safety features as standard, right from the base trim. These include six airbags, a tyre pressure monitor, ABS, ESC, hill-start assist, all-wheel disk brakes, and a rearview camera.

2026 Kia Seltos HTE (O)

This is the base variant for buyers who want an automatic transmission with the 1.5L NA petrol engine or the 1.5L turbo petrol engine paired with the iMT transmission.

On the HTE (O), the HTE (O) trim includes 16-inch styled steel wheels, integrated LED taillights, driver- and passenger-side seatback pockets, 60:40 rear seats with a center armrest, and a middle passenger headrest. The automatic variant also offers an electronic parking brake with auto hold function, traction control modes (sand, mud, snow), Drive Modes (eco, normal, sport), and paddle shifters.

For those who don’t want a sunroof, the Seltos HTE (O) seems to be the most value-for-money variant.

2026 Kia Seltos HTK

The Seltos HTK seems to offer relatively fewer but equally important features over the HTE (O), including 17-inch alloy wheels (16-inch on the NA manual variant), auto holding ORVMs, rear wiper/defogger, automatic flush door handles, proximity key, tilt and telescopic steering wheel, push-button start/stop, rear sunshades, and parcel tray.

2026 Kia Seltos HTK (O)

For those who want a panoramic sunroof, the HTK (O) is the recommended variant. It also offers four front parking sensors, ventilated front seats (automatic variant only), an 8-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat (automatic variant only), leather-wrapped steering, and a wireless charging pad.

If you’re looking for the most affordable Seltos variant with a panoramic sunroof, the HTK (O) seems to offer a decent packaged deal.

Check complete feature list of the variants here.

2026 Kia Seltos HTX

The price jump from the HTK (O) to the HTX variant could be steep. To that end, the variant adds a 12.3-inch infotainment screen (with OTA updates), a 5-inch HVAC touchscreen (as seen on the Kia Syros), an auto day/night-switching IRVM, front ventilated seats as standard (including the manual-transmission version), and an 8-speaker Bose sound system.

Additional features include a glossy grille on the front and rear, ORVMs, LED front fog lamps, side door garnish, brown and gray upholstery, ambient lighting, and leatherette soft-touch materials on the dashboard.

2026 Kia Seltos HTX (A)

For those wondering about Level 2 ADAS, the HTX (A) is the variant to look at. However, several features of the autonomous driving assistance system, such as parking collision avoidance assist, smart cruise control with stop-and-go, and reverse parking collision avoidance assist, are available only on the automatic variants of the trim. Other additions include two side parking sensors, a 2360-degree camera, and a 12.3-inch driver’s display.

The HTX (A) could be considered as one of the most complete models of the 2026 Kia Seltos. It is also the top trim for those who want the Seltos with a manual transmission.

2026 Kia Seltos GTX

While the three features mentioned above remain available on the automatic-only variants in this trim as well, the GTX variant adds LED projector headlights, integrated turn indicators in the DRLs, glossy black front bumper and cladding, 18-inch alloy wheels, neon-colored brake callipers, LED reverse lamps, black and white upholstery, 10-way electronic driver’s seat with memory function (for seat and ORMVs).

Remember, the GTX trim is only available with automatic transmissions with all three engine options.

2026 Kia Seltos GTX (A)

This variant standardizes features like parking collision avoidance assist, smart cruise control with stop-and-go, and reverse parking collision avoidance assist.

2026 Kia Seltos X-Line

This styling pack includes front and rear faux skid plates finished in glossy black, a side door garnish with dark gunmetal accents, black and green upholstery with satin metal accents, black and Hunter Green leatherette seats, 18-inch blacked-out alloy wheels, and Aurora Black Pearl or Xclusive Matte Graphite colour options.

There’s another variant of the 2026 Kia Seltos, likely the GTX (O), which was displayed at the car’s launch but has not yet been announced. It includes the heads-up display you’ve been seeing in the Reels and Shorts for days. Kia could announce the trim on January 2, 2026 (when it releases pricing), or at a later date.
