TL; DR
- Ai+, led by former realme India CEO Madhav Sheth, will launch its first flip-style foldable in Q1 2026 exclusively in India.
- The NovaFlip is said to be priced under ₹40,000 and use NxtQuantum OS with privacy and no-bloatware claims.
- The design resembles the nubia Flip 2. NovaPods Pro earbuds are also teased for launch.
- Naming similarity with Huawei Nova Flip could cause confusion.
Ai+ entered the market in mid 2025 with entry-level phones like Pulse and Nova 5G that sold between ₹5,000 and ₹7,000. The company is now jumping directly into the foldable category. The NovaFlip is planned as a flip-style device with a sub-₹40,000 price target in Q1 2026. Ai+ is focusing exclusively on the Indian market for this launch.
Teasers show a vertical clamshell with dual rear cameras, a rectangular external display, and a red-accented power key on the side. The design looks close to the nubia Flip 2. The similarity suggests either design influence or shared ODM manufacturing. The hinge and crease situation is not confirmed.
The NovaFlip will run on NxtQuantum OS, which is claimed to be a privacy-focused software with no bloatware and no trackers. The OS is said to switch automatically between compact quick-access layouts when closed and full layouts when open.

Pricing under ₹40,000 places it far below options like Samsung Galaxy Z Flip and Motorola Razr models. The challenge sits in execution. Foldables are difficult to manufacture reliably. Hinge strength, crease visibility, service support, and quality control are long-term concerns.
Ai+ has not built a track record in the foldable category or in any category for that matter. Building confidence quickly in a segment where even established brands receive complaints is not simple.
Ai+ is also teasing NovaPods Pro wireless earbuds. These are expected to launch around the same time as the NovaFlip.

One complication is naming. Huawei is also working on a Nova Flip. The similarity may create confusion online, especially for search and retail listings. Final specifications, marketing images, and market availability are expected before the end of Q1 2026.
