Tech giant Apple has been planning to open physical stores in India for a while now. In the past things kept getting delayed due to one or the other reasons, but now the dates are officially confirmed. Apple is opening the first store in BKC Mumbai on April 18 followed by 2nd outlet in Delhi on April 20.

While the news about the Mumbai store was made official a few days ago, now the news about the Delhi outlet was announced by Cupertino by putting it on a beautiful display outside the Delhi store.

The launch of the 2 new stores was first confirmed earlier this month when Apple unveiled a special barricade surrounding its Mumbai store at the BKC. The barricade sports a design inspired by the iconic Kaali Peeli Taxi Art.  The Mumbai store covers an area of 22,000 square feet and is located at the Reliance Industries Jio World Drive Mall. Meanwhile the store in Delhi will be located at the Select City Walk Saket Mall and will cover an area of about 10,000 square feet. The announcement regarding the Apple stores reads-

“Today Apple announced it will open its doors to customers at two new retail locations in India: Apple BKC in Mumbai on April 18 and Apple Saket in Delhi on April 20. These new retail locations mark a significant expansion in India that will offer great new ways to browse, discover, and buy Apple products with exceptional service and experiences for customers.”

Apple has even created special wallpapers for iPhone, iPad, and Mac and promoted a special playlist featuring “Sounds of Mumbai” to celebrate the opening of the Mumbai store.

Both these stores will have spaces for classes and meetings, new screens and hardware, and Genius Groves, a tree-lined area where the “Genius Bar” once was. Informative classes will be held in these stores by professionals like content creators, photographers, and more. New launches will be showcased, interactive events will be held, one-to-one support will be provided, and much more./im

The tech giant has over 500 retail stores spread out in major parts of the world including Dubai, NYC, Istanbul, and London. The opening of two stores simultaneously in India with plans to open more in the coming months, affirms the fact that India is becoming a priority market for the brand. The uptake of premium smartphones, especially the iPhone has given the brand confidence to invest at the ground level in the country.

These physical stores, once operational claim to take the retail experience for consumers to the next level.

There’s not much time left for the opening of the store, so we’ll definitely get to know more about them soon.
