Component Suppliers

An industry insider cited by ETNews revealed that Apple is committed to eliminating the crease as a key differentiator. The company has reportedly developed a new material to achieve this.

Samsung Display is rumored to be developing a custom display for Apple and is expected to be the exclusive supplier of OLED panels for the foldable iPhone. Corning, a US-based glass and ceramics manufacturer, is expected to supply the ultra-thin glass (UTG) for the foldable iPhone’s display. Amphenol, another Apple supplier, is reportedly providing the hinges for the foldable iPhone.

Previous leaks suggest that the foldable iPhone will have a 5.49-inch cover display and a 7.74-inch inner display when unfolded, with unique aspect ratios. The device is expected to have a book-like design, similar to other foldable phones on the market.
