Apple iPhone 15 & iPhone 15 Plus to sport frosted glass back panels: New color options tipped

Apple is all set to launch the flagship iPhone 15 Series in September/October 2023 which will include the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max models. The iPhone 15 Pro Max might also come as iPhone 15 Ultra. While there are still 5-6 months before the official launch, new leaks and rumors keep surfacing every once in a while.

The latest we hear is that the base-level iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus might get some major upgrades like a Frosted glass back panel. This is currently seen on Pro and Pro Max models only, but from iPhone 15 Series onwards, it might come to base models.

Apple iPhone 15 & iPhone 15 Plus: Frosted Glass Back

A report by MacRumors claims that both iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus will come with a frosted glass back panel. The panel will give these models the same premium appearance as the Pro models.

Meanwhile, the Pro models are also expected to get major design overhauls. They might have a titanium frame and have rounded and seamless edges along with thinner bezels. This time, all iPhone 15 Models are expected to have a USB-C type port as well. Hardware changes will see camera, performance, and battery upgrades and the price will change as well.

Apple iPhone 15: New color options

A recent Weibo post claims that the iPhone 15 & iPhone 15 Plus variants will get a special Cyan color, that will be similar to the green color of the iPhone 12 & 12 Mini which was a refreshing pastel green. Other expected color options for iPhone 15 & iPhone 15 Plus include light blue and pink. Since Apple chooses cooler and more lively shades for non-Pro models, these color options might be correct.

Reports claim that the iPhone 15 Pro models will come in deep red, deep purple, Sierra blue, and more color options.

Since these details aren’t official, take them with a grain of salt till something concrete is revealed.

These 4 models might be discontinued after iPhone 15 series gets launched. This will leave us with iPhone 13, iPhone SE (2022), vanilla iPhone 14, and iPhone 14 Plus models available for purchase.
