Apple iPhone 15 Plus Renders Shows Dynamic Island & USB-C

We got an eye on iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro CAD renders the other day and now, we have the same for iPhone 15 Plus. Although we are still a few months away from the 2023 fall launch, the iPhone 15 Plus has made its entry with CAD renders giving a peek into what the Plus variant would look like.

Apple iPhone 15 Plus Design

Talking about the renders posted by 9to5Mac, the iPhone 15 Plus is likely to have Dynamic Island on-board. The feature has since been for ‘Pro’ models only, however, the Plus and the vanilla iPhone 15 series will get it this year too. Talking about the dimensions, it stands at 160.87 x 77.76 x 7.81mm. When compared to iPhone 14 Plus dimensions, the iPhone 15 Plus is slightly taller, less wide, and a bit thicker.

The CAD renders for iPhone 15 Plus shows a new design that the model will pick up. It includes slightly rounded edges. It is subtle while the bezels appear slightly narrower as well adding to the upgrade in design elements. The Dynamic Island touted on the upcoming iPhone 15 Plus does look way better than the notch on the 14 Plus.

It remains to be seen if the updated design includes the USB-C that has been made mandatory on all devices sold in 2024. A leaked iPhone 15 photo did show a USB-C port which means iPhone 15 Plus will likely pick it up as well. The CAD renders too show how the USB-C will look with the dual bottom-firing speakers at the bottom replacing the lightning port once and for all.

The camera setup at the back looks identical with two cameras positioned diagonally on a squaricle camera bump. There are a slider and volume rockers on the left while the side has a power button.
