Apple is working on its annual iPhone Series that will launch later this year. Just like the last few years, iPhone 15 Series will include vanilla models as well as Pro Models. Now, some CAD Renders have surfaced online that reveal how the iPhone 15 Pro will look this year. Looking at the renders, it seems the brand is trying to change quite a few things this year in terms of design as compared to the iPhone 14 Series. Some new specs are also expected for the first time on an iPhone. Here’s what we know so far.

iPhone 15 Pro: Design changes

The iPhone 15 Pro Series will look and feel more premium this time as Apple is planning to use titanium for the mid-frame of the iPhone 15 Pro. This will make the device lighter and stronger than stainless steel and thus iPhone 15 pro will feel more premium, sturdy, and lighter than all its predecessors.

Apple first came up with a flat frame and display design for iPhone 12 and it seems the company is going back to the iPhone X/11 era for iPhone 15 Pro as it is planning to reintroduce a curved frame and a 2.5D curved display. This can make holding an iPhone more comfortable when compared to a phone with flat sides.

It has been a while since the rumors about Apple removing lightning ports have been making rounds, and now it looks like it is finally happening. The iPhone 15 Pro is said to have a portless design, where there will be touch-sensitive sensors instead of physical buttons. The 3D renders indicate that the smartphone might come with physical buttons, similar to iPhone 14 Pro. No matter whether a port is included or not, there will not be any change in the placement of the speaker, microphone, SIM card slot, and alert slider.

Also, Apple might replace the age-old lightning port with a USB Type-C port that will enable faster data transfer between iPhone and mac/PC. If this happens, iPhone users will need an MFi-certified USB Type-C cable to transfer data.

Talking about the camera module renders show off a triple camera setup at the back with a LiDAR sensor and thus iPhone 15 Pro might not get a 4th periscope zoom lens like the Galaxy S23 Ultra. Like the primary 48MP lens on iPhone 14 Pro, the iPhone maker might offer a high-resolution ultra-wide and a telephoto lens on the iPhone 15 Pro series.

Bumped-up Specs: iPhone 15 Pro

Apple iPhone 15 Pro is said to be powered by a new A17 Bionic chipset based on a 3nm process. This might be the densest, most powerful, and most efficient processor from Apple paired with at least 6GB RAM and 128GB storage.

In terms of the operating system, iPhone 15 Pro will come with iOS 17 which will go official during the WWDC 2023. iOS 17 will also be available for older iPhones like iPhone 14, iPhone 13, iPhone 12, and iPhone 11.
