Apple iPhone SE 4 has been in the news for months now. Now and then we keep hearing about what the affordable iPhone will entail, when it will launch, and how much it will cost. The latest leaks claim that the iPhone SE 4 is likely to get a price hike as compared to the iPhone SE 3. The reason behind this price hike will be an all-new design and other upgrades that the device will get.
Apple iPhone SE 4: Expected Pricing
Tipster @Revegnus1 shared a post via X handle that claims the price of the iPhone SE 4 will either remain the same or get a 10% hike in the US. It is still expected to be priced under 499 USD.
iPhone SE 3 launched in 2022 and was priced at Rs. 429 USD for the base 64GB storage model. The 128GB model was priced at 479 USD only while the 256GB model crossed the 500 mark and was priced at 579 USD.
Now if the iPhone SE 4 does get a price hike, it won’t be without a reason. The reason will be design changes and other hardware upgrades it will get.

A few days ago there were reports that iPhone SE 4 is getting a makeover inspired by iPhone 14. This means that the touch ID will be replaced by Face ID and the LCD display might be swapped with an OLED screen. The display size is expected to increase to 6.1-inch and the lightning port will be replaced by a USB-C port.
The Apple iPhone SE 4 is said to borrow multi-function Action Button from the latest iPhone 15 lineup as well.
Leaked renders give an idea about the design of the iPhone SE 4 which features an iPhone 14-like notch. The leaked case image shows flat edges giving it a modern look while the back has a single rear camera sitting in the top left corner. This might be a 48MP sensor for photography.
Apple does have the option to use many of its existing components for the iPhone SE so the price can be brought down. The Information claims SE would be the cheaper/more affordable option in Apple’s 2025 iPhone lineup.
Apple is tipped to widen its iPhone lineup even more as the iPhone 17 series is expected to feature iPhone Slim which will be placed above the iPhone 17 Pro Max. In such a scenario having an affordable iPhone SE that costs under 499 USD would allow more users to get iPhone experience within their budgets.

Apple is expected to launch the iPhone SE 4 in the spring of 2025.

Tipster Revegnus1 has also shared a possible Apple product roadmap that hints at what Apple’s plans are in coming years.
For the remaining 2024, Apple will focus on the annual iPhone 16 Series while in 2024 the brand will launch not only iPhone SE 4 but also new additions to iPhone 17 Series. 2026 will see updates to the iPhone 18 Series, along with new iPads and MacBooks while 2027 might see the brand launching a 20-inch foldable iPad.
