Apple’s Vision Pro has become one of the most-anticipated products of all time. The company started creating some hype around it during the WWDC 2023, where it showcased what the product is and what it can do. Since then, rumors and reports about the device have been circulating online. In the latest development, a known Apple analyst has corroborated the previously reported launch timeline.

Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman Predicted Vision Pro To Launch In February 2024

Last week, Mark Gurman reported that Chinese facilities are ramping up Vision Pro’s production for an early release in February 2024. Previously, Gurman reported that the product’s launch could occur in March 2024, given the delay in the finalization and shipment of units. Meanwhile, the company was also reportedly training its store staff to set up Vision Pro and assist customers with the initialization process.

Known Apple Analyst Now Corroborates The Launch Timeline

Now, notable analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has corroborated the earlier report. In his blog published on Medium, Kuo mentions how “Vision Pro is the most important product for Apple for 2024.” Indeed, the mixed reality headset is a once-in-a-decade product that has the potential to reinforce Apple as the pioneer of consumer tech innovation, provided it functions the way Apple has advertised it over time.

The Company Is Expecting To Ship 500,000 Units In 2024

Kuo elaborates that Apple expects to sell about 500,000 units of the product in 2024, which is quite ambitious on the company’s part. Given that the product’s retail price is supposed to be $3,499, the company is looking forward to drawing in about $1.7 billion worth of business. Although this isn’t anything compared to what iPhones bring in for the company, it is still a huge deal, given Vision Pro is a brand-new lineup.

Enthusiasts Should Expect Vision Pro To Hit Stores In Late January Or Early February

The analyst also mentions how the product is currently in mass production. The manufacturers will begin shipment in the first week of January 2024. Subsequently, Vision Pro will hit store shelves by the end of January or early February. Kuo mentions in his blog that positive user feedback will help strengthen Vision Pro’s start product status in the consumer market, which will benefit the “related supply chain stock price.”

We already know that the mixed reality headset will only be available in the United States first. However, there’s no reason why the company won’t release the product in other markets, including India, except for the steep price. Meanwhile, Apple recently launched Spatial Video recording on the top-of-the-line iPhone 15 Pro models. Videos recorded in this format can only be viewed on the Vision Pro headset, another sign that the company is preparing for an imminent launch.
