Apple held its most important launch event in September wherein the brand launched the iPhone 16 Series which includes four models- iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max. Now last week the tech giant confirmed that the Mac lineup will finally be getting a refresh starting Monday. Apple is all set to launch new Macs powered by M4 chipset that will focus on enhancing the AI capabilities of the Mac lineup. Here are all the announcements one can expect from Apple this week.

Apple New Macs
Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has hinted about the various launches that might take place this week. According to him, the lineup includes new Mac Mini models, 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros, 24-inch iMac, and more. While the iMac is tipped to come with an entry-level M4 SoC, the Mac Mini will have M4 and M4 Pro options. MacBook Pros are rumored to come with powerful M4 versions.

M4 Chipset
The M4 Chipset was first rolled out in May with iPad Pro. It comes with a leap in performance, especially for AI-related tasks and gaming apps. The M4 has a neural engine for better machine learning operations and can handle up to 38 trillion operations per second. This puts the M4’s neural engine in direct competition with Snapdragon X Elite chipsets found in Copilot Plus Windows PCs.
Apart from AI, graphics performance has also been made better on M4 chips. Mac Mini might get ray tracing for the first time with this SoC. It will give avid gamers a lifelike and immersive experience. All Mac Models are tipped to pack more RAM as entry-level Mac will have 16GB memory and not 8GB as in previous models.

The Mac Mini is also expected to bring a physical redesign so it will have a smaller form factor, similar to the size of an Apple set-top box. Gurman claims that the updated design will feature two front-facing ports like Mac Studio and more ports on the rear.
When are new Macs launching?
Apple’s launch strategy is also changing this time. Instead of a single grand announcement, the brand has invited select media and creators to a hands-on session in LA on Wednesday, which suggests that Mac will launch over a period of days this week. It might be a Monday to Wednesday launch, with a new product introduced every day.
