Ever since Apple decided to drop the Mini model of the iPhone series, the brand has been experimenting with new models to bring freshness to the iPhone series. iPhone 14 Series saw the Plus model replacing the Mini one and now there might be a huge change again next year. Earlier iPhone 15 Series was expected to see the replacement of the iPhone 15 Pro Max with the iPhone 15 Ultra, but the latest reports claim that the plans have been tweaked again. Now, Apple is planning to bring the highest-end iPhone called iPhone 16 Ultra in 2024 which will be placed above iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max models.

This means 2023 will see iPhone 15 series with iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max.

iPhone 16 Ultra in 2024?

Apple analyst Mark Gurman claims that iPhone 16 Ultra might come in 2024. Although it is unclear how Apple would make it even better than the Pro Max model, but speculations are rife that it might have upgraded cameras, a faster chipset, and a larger display. Some innovative and futuristic features might also make their way to iPhone 16 Ultra, like the removal of the charging port.

Apple has been internally discussing adding this high-end device to the iPhone 16 series next year, Tt has already differentiated base models from pro ones, and also the watch has been given an Ultra name to make it more sporty and premium. The watch comes with an M1 processor, so it is worth paying for.

During the earnings call, Tim Cook claimed that consumers of Apple are willing to pay more for the best of the best iPhone. The new iPhone model would increase the average selling price of the iPhone further.

iPhone 15 Leaks

Since iPhone 16 is still far away, let’s take a look at what we expect from iPhone 15 this year. Ming-Chi Kuo claims that Apple is planning to include periscope lenses in the highest-end iPhone 15 models. With the Pro Max model, Apple will probably introduce its first periscope camera, making it a differentiator between the iPhone 15 pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. This will provide consumers with an additional reason to purchase the most expensive model.

Battery life is expected to improve along with an even faster chipset. Stay tuned to this space for all the latest updates on this.
