Apple has recently started rolling out updates for Apple Business Connect, a platform aimed at helping businesses and individuals manage their information across multiple applications. The latest improvements will strengthen the links between businesses and their customers, even when there’s no physical storefront involved. Key new features include the option to display information in Apple Wallet, Mail, and Maps. Furthermore, a new Business ID feature, akin to Truecaller, will offer verified business information during calls to customers, which should help minimize spam calls.
This article will concentrate on the Business ID feature, which stands out as a significant addition.

Apple Business ID Feature
Apple is set to establish a database of companies that engage with iPhone users for various purposes. Both large and small businesses, whether they operate physically or online, can register on the Apple Business Connect Platform using an existing Apple ID or by creating one at no cost. The Business ID feature within Business Connect will enable businesses to showcase their presence on this platform.
The details shared will include the company’s name, logo, and department, allowing for the development of customized place cards and fostering customer engagement through branded promotions. Consequently, these businesses will enhance their visibility across the devices of more than 1 billion Apple users.

David Dorn, Apple’s Senior Director of Internet Software & Services Product, expressed enthusiasm about the rollout, stating, “We’re thrilled to provide all businesses, even those without a physical presence, the opportunity to establish a brand that will be visible across the Apple apps utilized by over a billion users daily.”
The Business Caller ID feature will display the name, department, and logo of businesses on the incoming call screen when they reach out to customers, as mentioned earlier. Set to launch next year, this feature is designed to help customers differentiate between genuine businesses and spam calls. Apple will not charge any fees for customizing brand details, and this functionality will be available for both physical and virtual businesses.
Additionally, third-party applications such as Truecaller will enable businesses to display information about verified companies, helping users avoid spam callers.
