In September 2023, Apple released the iPhone 15 series with four models, including the vanilla iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max. Out of these, the iPhone 15 and the iPhone 15 Plus seem to provide more value for money, mainly because they bring several features of the iPhone 14 Pro to the regular model. At the time of launch, Apple, along with other e-commerce platforms, introduced a lot of deals to promote sales. However, just two months after the launch, the latest iPhone is available at a significant discount.
Customers Can Get The Latest iPhone 15 For Rs. 5,000 Off
At the time of launch, the iPhone 15 was selling at Rs. 79,900 for the 128GB variant. However, as part of an ongoing deal, the Indian e-commerce platform Flipkart is letting the phone go for Rs. 74,900. However, there’s a catch. To avail of the Rs. 5,000 discount, users must have an HDFC Bank credit card. For those with the required card, the discount applies to both EMI and non-EMI transactions. Flipkart is also offering the same discount to HDFC Bank debit card holders (only applicable on EMI transactions).
Here’s How The Instant Discount And EMI Discount Work
HDFC Bank’s credit card holders can also opt for a six-month no-cost EMI on the latest iPhone 15. A complete breakup on Flipkart’s iOS app suggests that the phone’s effective price remains Rs. 74,999 (discounted price + security packaging charges), and the monthly installments come out to be Rs. 12,500 for six months, which is the eligible duration for no-cost EMI.
Flipkart clarifies that the interest charged by the bank, which, in this case, happens to be Rs. 3,380, is reduced as an upfront discount to keep the phone’s price in check. Hence, the initial amount that will get blocked on customers’ cards will be Rs. 71,619. However, customers would still need to pay Rs. 199 as a one-time processing fee.
Similarly, the iPhone 15 Plus is also available at an effective price of Rs. 84,900 after applying the HDFC bank discount, which is applicable on all colors and storage variants on the smartphone.
