Bajaj Chetak electric scooter is now available in 20 cities including New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, and others

The iconic Bajaj Chetak scooter has been revamped to an electric scooter and the company is now retailing it in 20 different Indian cities. The latest entrants in the city list are New Delhi, Mumbai, and Goa. The manufacturer also lets customers book the Chetak e-scooter online. 

Bajaj Auto has previously launched the electric scooter last year in India and announced to invest INR 300 crores to speed up the production. The company is utilizing its Akurdi, Pune plant for production and is aiming to manufacture 5,00,000 electric vehicles per year. 

List of Cities and Booking Details

Now since the homegrown brand is expanding its reach to different small and big cities of the country, the company is seeing to get good sale numbers. The list of cities where customers can book Bajaj Chetak electric scooters includes – New Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Nasik, Nagpur, Aurangabad, Vishakhapatnam, Goa, Surat, Bengaluru, Hubli, Mangalore, Mysore, Cochin, Kozhikode, Chennai, Coimbatore, Madurai, and Hyderabad.

Customers belonging to the aforementioned cities can head to the official website of Bajaj Auto to book the Chetak electric scooter. The booking amount is Rs 2000 which will be adjusted at the time of final payment. The ex-showroom price of the Bajaj Chetak e-scooter is INR 1,49,350. 

Bajaj Chetak Electric Scooter Features

The remodelled Bajaj Chetak follows the traditional design made with a steel body, horseshoe DRL headlamp, sequential LED blinker, and flush-fitted exterior. It packs a 3kWh battery rated with IP67 against water protection. The e-scooter produces a peak power of 4kW and a continuous power of 3.8kW with a torque of 16Nm.

Chetak e-scooter offers a range of 90km in Eco mode upon a full charge. The company claims to charge the battery to its full efficiency in 5 hours and up to 25% in 60 minutes. The manufacturer claims a battery life of up to 70,000 km and offers a warranty of 3 years or 50,000 km. It comes in four colour variants – Brooklyn Black, Hazel Nut, Indigo Metallic, and Velluto Rosso.
