Canva Outage July 8: I Am Unable To Save Or Download Designs

  • While users began facing issues at around 07:30 AM IST (when Down Detector got about 190 reports), the platform acknowledged the outage at 07:43 AM IST.

The Australian graphic design platform Canva suffered a major outage earlier today, during which users were unable to edit, save, or download their projects.

While users began facing issues at around 07:30 AM IST (when Down Detector got about 190 reports), the platform acknowledged the outage at 07:43 AM IST.

Canva Outage Peaked Early This Morning

The outage peaked at 09:17 PM IST, when as many as 701 users reported it (globally) on Down Detector. Of the total reports, 49% users faced issues with the website, while 39% faced a problem with the server connection.

The official website mentions issues like the inability to view or save changes, failure with general knowledge queries, and a non-responsive application.

During this time, we were also unable to download designs from Canva. Despite having an optimal connection speed, Canva didn’t allow us to save or download designs either. The download button wasn’t showing up.

Canva Implemented Fixes At 01:49 PM IST

Although Canva says that it has fixed the issue, the platform isn’t working for me at 02:56 PM IST, when I’m compiling this report. You can see the error in the top right corner of the screenshot attached below.
