Upcoming Car Launches In January 2026
Kia Seltos 2026

- Price Announcement Date: January 2, 2026
First up on the list of the new car launches in January 2026 is the 2026 Kia Seltos. The Korean automaker announced its latest Seltos in December 2025, along with the models and their respective divisions, but the price will be revealed on January 2, 2025.
While vehicle bookings have been open since December 10, 2025, deliveries are expected to begin in mid to late January 2026. We’ve already covered the design changes and the variant-wise feature division in separate articles; if you want to check those out.
To give you a quick overview, the 2026 Kia Seltos is longer and wider, resulting in more cabin space than before. Further, the company has redesigned the car’s front and rear fascias, giving it a fresh, bold stance. The top-of-the-line Seltos GTX (O) is still under wraps and should be revealed along with its price.

Mahindra XUV 7XO

- Launch Date: January 5, 2026
The Indian automaker Mahindra is also preparing for an early 2026 launch of the mid-generation facelift of the XUV 700 — the XUV 7XO. SUV teasers are already available online, and the official announcement will take place on January 5, 2026.
We’re also expecting Mahindra to reveal the prices at the launch (though there’s a good chance it won’t). While bookings for the SUV commenced on December 15, 2025, deliveries could begin around mid-January 2026.
I’ve already compiled a roundup of the Mahindra XUV 7XO, in case you want to review it. To give you a brief overview, the vehicle could feature a triple-screen dashboard, a 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, and the familiar engine options (2.0-liter turbo petrol and 2.2-liter diesel).
Tata Sierra

- Release Date: January 15, 2025
Following the price reveal of the Kia Seltos and the launch of the Mahindra XUV 7XO, Tata Motors will begin the deliveries of its new mid-sized SUV, the Tata Sierra. Bookings have been underway since December 16, 2025, and deliveries will start on January 15, 2026.
Tata unveiled the vehicle on November 25, 2025, and revealed the prices in a phased manner thereafter. The base variant of the Tata Sierra, powered by its new four-cylinder NA petrol engine, costs Rs. 11.49 lakhs (ex-showroom) and offers quite a lot of features.
We’ve also compared the Tata Sierra’s technical specifications with those of its rivals, concluding that the Indian automaker has invested significant effort in reintroducing a popular variant. However, it remains to be seen how the car fares against some of the segment’s most popular rivals, including the Hyundai Creta.

Tata Punch Facelift

In addition to the Sierra, Tata Motors should unveil the 2026 facelift of the Punch in January, likely around mid-month. Although we can’t confirm, the facelifted version’s pricing should be announced at launch, and deliveries should begin by late January.
The expected changes include a new LED light bar at the front, a redesigned grille with horizontal slats, and vertically stacked projector LED headlamps. Regarding other updates, the car could get a larger 10.25-inch infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
However, the powertrain options should be similar, with the 1.2-liter three-cylinder NA petrol engine (and CNG) paired with a five-speed manual or a five-speed AMT transmission. More details about the Tata Punch facelift are expected to be unveiled in the coming days.
Tata Harrier & Safari (Petrol)

Tata Motors has launched petrol-powered versions of the Harrier and Safari, powered by the 1.5-liter Hyperion (four-cylinder) turbo-petrol engine that produces 160 hp and 255 Nm. However, the prices for these models will be announced in January 2026.
