Samsung’s Ballie smart home robot was initially unveiled at CES 2020, and after five years, it is set to become a reality. With CES 2025 commencing tomorrow in Las Vegas, Samsung has revealed that the yellow robot will be available in the US later this year. Ballie features an integrated projector that enables it to stream content and display information on different surfaces, effectively transforming your home walls into screens. During the presentation, Samsung demonstrated Ballie projecting the movie Uncharted onto a wall, with the ability to adjust the screen size by utilizing a larger surface.
Samsung’s Ballie robot integrates voice recognition with advanced sensor technology, enabling users to engage through ‘foot presses’ on virtual buttons for command input and selections. For instance, the robot can assist in wine pairing by posing follow-up questions and offering suggestions tailored to the user’s responses.
