Two months after the iOS app made its debut, ChatGPT on Android is now available for pre-register via Google Play Store. ChatGPT has garnered quite a lot of attention for its ability to answer questions with personalized inputs and prompts, give content ideas, etc. Just like iOS, OpenAI is expecting big numbers of users to join via the pre-register link available on the Play Store as we are talking about it.

OpenAI’s ChatGPT has been available via its website for quite some time now. However, it was never available as an app which obviously changed in May this year when OpenAI came up with its iOS app. The AI tool itself got millions of users only to be recently devoured by the Threads app’s instance popularity which got it 100 million users in less than a week.

Circling back to the ChatGPT Android app, it is expected to look similar to the iOS build. It will automatically sync the user’s history from the web version along with all the preferences. iOS added Siri and Shortcuts onboard, however, it seems the Android version may or may not get a similar feature.

As of now, the app is available for pre-register via Google Play Store and will roll out as soon as next week. It will roll out for users next week probably in the US while other countries will join the pack. There’s no mention of the list of countries ChatGPT for Android will be available so all we can do is wait some more to get a clear picture.
