How did Criminal Minds Season 18 Finale set up Season 19?

Much like the conclusion of the first two seasons of Evolution, which hinted at the upcoming season, this season has also laid the groundwork for season 4/19. The lingering question is how much of the serial killer Sicarius still resides within Elias Voit, who, after being assaulted in prison, is no longer a psychopath. In the season 18 finale, he assisted the BAU in dismantling his previous network, which was led by one of Cyrus’ victims, Tessa. On his way to prison, he envisioned himself murdering another inmate.
Has the filming for Season 19 started?
Yes, the cast is back on set, and Paramount+ shared a photo of them with filming officially underway on Friday, May 30.

The creator feels it is his year to sort of grow and shine a little bit more, and there wasn’t a dry eye when the team screened the second episode.
