TL; DR
Dreame launches L40 Ultra AE and D20 Ultra robot vacuum cleaners in India on Amazon.
The premium L40 Ultra AE offers 19,000 Pa suction with MopExtend and PowerDock technology.
The affordable D20 Ultra delivers 13,000 Pa suction with 250 minutes of battery runtime.
Dreame Technology has launched two new robotic vacuum cleaners in India: the L40 Ultra AE and the D20 Ultra. While both offer strong suction power, smart obstacle avoidance, and the ability to vacuum and mop your floors, there are quite a few differences between them.
One by one, let’s talk about the price and the key features of the new robotic vacuum cleaner from Dreame.

Dreame L40 Ultra AE: Key Features & Specifications

- Price: Rs. 59,999 on Amazon | Rs. 1,799 cashback also available with Amazon Pay ICICI card
First and foremost, the L40 Ultra AE uses Dreame’s TurboForce motor with an internal-rotor electromagnetic design that increases rotational speed, offering a peak suction of 19,000 Pa. Further, the tooth-to-slot ratio is optimized to reduce low-frequency noise for higher sound quality.
Another key highlight of the device is the MopExtend technology, which, unlike regular robotic vacuum cleaners, extends the mop arm to reach tight and narrow spaces, edges, and irregular corners. With the technology, the spinning mop can easily remove tiny spots, food crumbs, soft drink spills, collect dust from carpets, and clean hard-to-reach areas under your low-profile couch.

The device comes with an adaptable TriCut Brush 3.0 (provided in the box) that can clean across different floor types. It is also handy for homes with pets with an in-built hair-cutting blade that cuts through hair, making it easier to collect.

Other features include 3DAdapt Smart Navigation and Obstacle Avoidance (recognizes over 120 types of objects), which intelligently detect walls, furniture, stairs, and other objects within the cleaning patch.

With my Dreame F10, I have to constantly clean the dust tank and the mop attachment manually after every one or two rounds; there’s a lot of manual involvement in the process.
However, the L40 Ultra AE addresses the concern with a multifunctional PowerDock that can clean the mop with 75°C detergent-infused water, collect dirty water, and store dust in built-in tanks. Manual intervention will be required, but only after a few rounds of cleaning.

There’s also the self-cleaning Washboard 2.0, which automatically cleans the dock system to minimize maintenance, and remote pet monitoring, which lets you access the camera at the front of the device to monitor your pets or keep a watch on your home while you’re gone.

Dreame D20 Ultra: Key Features & Specifications

- Price: Rs. 39,999 on Amazon | Rs. 1,199 cashback on using the Amazon Pay ICICI card
The Dreame D20 Ultra is the more affordable robotic vacuum cleaner of the two. It offers slightly less suction power (13,000 Pa), which is still enough for regular floor cleaning. Then it has the 2-in1 DuoScrub system, which combines vacuuming and mopping in one device, using high-speed rotary mops (with downward pressure) to remove spills and stains.
Other features on the device include RoboSwing Edge Cleaning, which helps reach corners and hard-to-reach areas; Pathfinder Smart Navigation with 3DAdapt Obstacle Avoidance; and a 5,200 mAh battery with fast charging that offers up to 250 minutes of runtime.

The device also offers up to 100 days of hands-free dust collection, thanks to its spacious 3.2L dust bag, just like the L40 Ultra AE. Both devices also offer custom carpet cleaning modes, allow you to adjust the cleaning order or mode (vacuum-only, mop-only, vacuum and mop), and monitor the accessory usage within the Dreamhome app.
