OPPO is set to launch the Find X8 series in China soon, with the expected release date on October 21, just four days after the official ColorOS 15 launch on October 17. We have some exciting news for the Indian market—the entire OPPO Find X8 series, for the first time in several years, will be coming to India.
Launch Timeline
The timeline for the launches is as follows: ColorOS 15 will debut on October 17, while the OPPO Find X8 series will be unveiled in China on October 21. For the Indian market, the launch of the Find X8 and Find X8 Pro is expected in late November or sometime in December, with the Find X8 Ultra possibly launching next year.
All models of the Find X8 series will be available in India. This includes the Find X8 (codenamed Milkyway), the Find X8 Pro (codenamed Yala), and the Find X8 Ultra (codenamed Konka). Both the Find X8 and X8 Pro have already received certification from the BIS, meaning that their launch is imminent.

OPPO Find X8
The Find X8 will feature a 6.6” 1.5K flat AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate. It’ll be powered by the Dimensity 9400 processor and sport an impressive camera setup, including a 50 MP main camera, a 50 MP ultra-wide camera, and a 50 MP 3x periscope lens on the rear. For selfies, there will be a 32 MP front camera.
The device will be equipped with a 5,700 mAh battery with support for 80W fast charging and 50W magnetic wireless charging. It will also feature an in-display fingerprint sensor, an alert slider, dual speakers, and an IP68/IP69 rating.
OPPO Find X8 Pro
The Find X8 Pro will boast a larger 6.8” quad-curved, micro-curved display, also with a 120 Hz refresh rate. Similar to its younger sibling, it will be powered by the Dimensity 9400 chipset.
However, the camera will be superior: a 50 MP main camera, a 50 MP ultra-wide camera, a 50 MP 3x zoom lens, and an impressive 50 MP 6x periscope lens on the rear. It will also feature a camera control button on the side.
This model houses a 5800 mAh battery, which will also support 80W fast charging and 50W magnetic wireless charging. Like the Find X8, it will have an IP68/IP69 rating and run on ColorOS 15 based on Android 15 out of the box.

OPPO Find X8 Ultra
There’s not much details that we have on the Find X8 Ultra yet. Earlier leaks suggest that the device will have a larger battery in a smaller body and will retain the dual periscope camera setup.
The secondary periscope could be the new 200 MP Samsung HP9 sensor paired with a zoom lens. And that’s all we know so far. The purported launch timeline is Q1 2025.

OPPO seems to be making a comeback in the Indian premium market with the Find X8 series.
