OxygenOS is making some huge changes with the next version of Oxygen OS, and it’s looking a lot like iOS. Yes, you read it right. OnePlus is beta testing Oxygen OS 15 and we got the opportunity to check out some of the changes that OnePlus is making.

In this article, we are breaking down some of the changes that are coming your way. From a revamped control center to a nostalgic Easter egg, here’s everything that Oxygen OS 15 has to offer. Unfortunately, we cannot share the screenshots due to some legal implications. So, here’s description of the features.

1. Control Center Revamp: If HyperOS and iOS had a baby

The Control Center is getting a major redesign. While it’s somewhat similar to what we saw in OxygenOS 14, the layout has evolved, pulling inspiration from both iOS and HyperOS.

On the top, you’ll find two toggles, like on HyperOS. Just below that, you’ll find a 2×2 media player, a 1×2 brightness slider, and a 1×2 volume panel, all arranged in the same order as described.

There’ll be circular 1×1 toggles for other quick settings, and you’ll scroll through these pages and even edit the layout to fit your needs.

Oh, and the control center and the notification area have finally split—swiping down from the right reveals the Control Center, while swiping down from the left brings up the notification shade.

The update also brings customization to the Control Center. You’ll be able to rearrange the icons within the Control Center to your liking and hide or unhide text under the controls.

For those who prefer the previous layout, OxygenOS 15 will allow you to switch back to the old Control Center if you wish so.

2. iOS-Like Volume Panel

Another one of the new changes is the volume slider. It starts out as a large slider but shrinks to a narrow width when you press it again—just like iOS.

3. Live Photos

The camera app now has an option to shoot live photos, again, much like iOS, which also calls it Live Photos. This will allow your phone to take short video clips each time you take a photo and if something’s moving.

4. The Never Settle Easter Egg is Back

For the OG OnePlus fans, here’s something exciting: the Never Settle logo Easter egg is making a return. Just like the old days, if you type “1+” into the calculator and hit equals, you’ll see the iconic Never Settle pop up again.

5. Lock Screen Customization

For the first time, you’ll have the freedom to customize almost every aspect of your lockscreen in OxygenOS 15. You can change the clock’s size, position, color, and even the font. The depth effect will allow you to create a 3D lock screen. Oh, and there’ll be a ton of lock screen presets to choose from.

6. Dynamic Island-Like Notification

There’s also a dynamic island-like feature coming to OxygenOS 15. Instead of sitting on the left, like before, this now sits on top of the center punch hole, much like iOS’s Dynamic Island.

Beta Release Around the Corner

The beta version of OxygenOS 15 is expected to drop either by the end of this month or early next month, so keep an eye out if you want to be one of the first to try it. Also, what do you think of these new iOS-inspired changes? Let us know in the comments below.
