POCO X8 Pro and X8 Pro Max Specsheet
In typical POCO fashion, the X8 Pro and X8 Pro Max are not something new smartphones but rather rebranded Redmi Turbo series phones. Xiaomi group has kept the Redmi Turbo 5 series China exclsuives and is bringing the lineup to Global markets under POCO bradning.
The POCO X8 Pro, a rebranded Redmi Turbo 5, is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra chipset and features a crisp 6.59-inch 1.5K OLED display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. On the photography front, it relies on a 50MP Sony IMX882 main sensor and a 20MP front-facing camera for selfies. The highlight is the 7,560mAh battery with 100W fast charging support.

The POCO X8 Pro Max is the global twin of the Redmi Turbo 5 Max. You get a 6.83-inch 1.5K OLED panel and a significant bump in processing power with the MediaTek Dimensity 9500s. The camera system also gets a boost, swapping the Sony sensor for a 50MP Light Hunter 600 main lens, while the selfie camera remains the same. While the Global bound X8 Pro Max packs a large 8,500mAh battery, the model coming to India is said to get a 9,000mAh battery with 100W charging support.
Pricing Expectations
While official pricing is under wraps, leaked European listings suggest a competitive strategy. The POCO X8 Pro is expected to start at approximately Rs. 43,999, while the flagship POCO X8 Pro Max could break cover starting at Rs. 57,999.
