TL;DR
- Redmi Note 15 Pro series arrives January 27.
- Redmi Note 15 Pro+ is expected to feature a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chip.
- Both models get massive 6,500mAh batteries.
Xiaomi is ready to finish what it started earlier this month. After launching the base Redmi Note 15 on January 6, the company is now moving to shore up its mid-range defenses. According to industry insider Yogesh Brar, Xiaomi will officially debut the Redmi Note 15 Pro and Redmi Note 15 Pro+ in India on January 27th.
The timing isn’t accidental. Xiaomi claims the vanilla Note 15 has already triggered a 165% sales boost compared to last year’s model, and the Pro variants are designed to capture the users who want flagship-adjacent specs without the four-digit price tag.
This isn’t the only mid-range shakeup we’re tracking; our recent exclusive report on the Vivo V70 Elite suggests that competition in this segment is about to get much more aggressive with the inclusion of Snapdragon 8-series silicon.

Redmi Note 15 Pro+: The Performance Juggernaut
The “Plus” model is where Xiaomi is throwing its best hardware. It’s expected to be among the first to ship with the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4, a chipset that needs to prove it can balance performance with the efficiency required for modern AI tasks.
Key Specs (Rumored):
- Display: 6.83-inch 1.5K curved AMOLED, 120Hz refresh rate.
- Camera: 200MP primary sensor, 8MP ultra-wide, and a 32MP selfie shooter.
- Battery: 6,500mAh with 100W fast charging.
The move to a 6,500mAh battery suggests Xiaomi is leaning into endurance as a primary marketing pillar for 2026. While 100W charging is no longer the fastest in the world, it remains the gold standard for getting a massive cell like this back to 100% in under 45 minutes.
The Redmi Note 15 Pro: The flat-screen alternative
For those who still find curved screens polarizing, the standard Pro model sticks to a flat 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED panel. Under the hood, it swaps Qualcomm for the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultra.
Interestingly, the “standard” Pro actually packs a slightly larger 6,580mAh battery, though you’ll have to settle for slower charging speeds than its sibling. It retains the same 200MP main camera but drops the selfie resolution to 20MP.

Software and Longevity
Both devices will ship with HyperOS 2 (based on Android 15) out of the box. In a rare move for the mid-range segment, Xiaomi is expected to match the commitment it made with the base model: 4 years of major OS updates and 6 years of security patches. If Xiaomi sticks to this, these phones could technically remain relevant until 2032.
We expect Xiaomi to begin its usual drip-feed of official teasers on social media within the next few days.
