Redmi is gearing up to expand its popular Note series in India with two new smartphones. According to information shared with us by our trusted source and industry insider Yogesh Brar, the company is planning to launch the Redmi Note 17 Pro and Redmi Note 17 Pro Max in India on soon.

The new Note series will bring major upgrades in battery capacity and performance, but buyers could also have to pay significantly more this time around.

Launch Timeline

As per our source, Redmi will officially unveil the Note 17 Pro series on September 15 in India. The launch will include both the standard Pro and Pro Max models.

Since the launch is just 25 days away, we should see the brand officially reveal the launch teasers sometime next week.

Redmi Note 17 Pro Specs

The Redmi Note 17 Pro is expected to feature a 6.8-inch flat OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it could be powered by the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 chipset.

One of the biggest highlights is expected to be its massive 9,000mAh battery, paired with 67W fast charging. For photography, the phone is tipped to feature a 50MP primary camera and a 16MP selfie camera. Redmi is also expected to offer four years of software updates and six years of security updates.

Redmi Note 17 Pro Max Specs

The Note 17 Pro Max is expected to take things further with the same 6.8-inch 120Hz flat OLED display, but with a more powerful Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset.

It could pack an even larger 10,000mAh battery and support 100W fast charging. The camera setup is tipped to include a 50MP primary sensor and a 32MP front camera. Like the Pro model, the Pro Max is expected to receive 4+6 years of software and security updates.

Pricing Expectations

Perhaps the biggest surprise is expected to be the pricing. According to our source, Redmi is planning to increase the Note 17 Pro series prices by at least Rs 8,000 in India compared to the previous-generation Redmi Note 15 Pro series.

That would make the new models considerably more expensive, potentially putting Redmi’s latest Note Pro phones in a different segment than previous generations.

With the September 15 launch reportedly just around the corner, we should learn more about the exact pricing and availability soon.
