Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event is scheduled for July 10, which is still several weeks away. At the upcoming unpacked event, Samsung is set to announce the Galaxy Z Flip 6, Galaxy Z Fold 6, Galaxy Watch 7, Galaxy Watch Ultra, and Galaxy Ring. Earlier, we revealed the 5K renders of the Galaxy Z Flip6 followed by its pricing in the US earlier this week.

Now, we have some juicy information on the Galaxy Z Filp6 specifications. We managed to get our hands on the Galaxy Z Flip6’s complete specs and we can’t wait to share these exclusive details with you. So, without any further ado, let’s jump into it.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 Specifications

Display(s)

Let’s start with the displays. The Galaxy Z Flip 6 will sport a Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a resolution of 2640 x 1080 (FHD+) and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The display size is 6.7 inches for the main screen. As for the cover display, the Z Flip 6 will offer a 3.4-inch Super AMOLED screen with a resolution of 720 x 748 and a color depth of 16 million.

Chipset, Storage and RAM

Moving on, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 will sport the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy chipset with CPU clock speeds of 3.39 GHz, 3.1 GHz, 2.9 GHz, and 2.2 GHz. These are the same clock speeds seen on the Galaxy S24 series earlier this year. Also, as leaked earlier, the phone will come in 256 GB and 512 GB storage variants.

Cameras

As for the cameras, the Z Flip 6 gets a substantial upgrade this year with a new 50 MP f/1.8 PDAF main lens. Judging by the aperture size, this is the same lens that’s on the Galaxy S24, S24 Plus, Galaxy Z Fold 5, and even the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 6. The ultra-wide lens will remain the same at 12 MP with an f/2.2 aperture.

On the front, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 will stick with the same 10 MP lens as last year, featuring an f/2.2 aperture and no autofocus. The phone will be able to record in 4K at 60fps and 1080p at 120fps or 240fps for slow-motion videos.

Connectivity

In terms of connectivity, the Galaxy Z Flip6 will support Dual 5G with 14 5G bands. Oddly enough, it will only support Wi-Fi 6E and not Wi-Fi 7, like the Galaxy S24 Ultra. Nevertheless, the phone will support Bluetooth 5.3 and USB 3.2 Gen 1 for high speed data transfer and display output.

Dimensions and Weight

The specs sheet also reveals the dimensions of the device, which remain largely unchanged compared to its predecessor. When unfolded, the dimensions are 165.1 x 71.9 x 6.9 mm, and when folded, they are 85.1 x 71.9 x 14.9 mm. The weight of the device is also unchanged at 187 g.

Battery and Charging

What has changed, though, is the battery size. Despite weighing the same, the Galaxy Z Flip6 features a respectable 4000 mAh battery that, according to the spec sheet, can give up to 19 hours of internet usage on LTE and up to 20 hours on Wi-Fi. Either way, it’s a good upgrade from the 3,700 mAh battery on the Z Flip5.

Unfortunately, there’s no mention of any improvement in charging speed. Since this is the Z Flip series we’re talking about, it is safe to assume that the Galaxy Z Flip6 will see no upgrades in the charging speed and charge the new 4000 mAh battery at 25W

Miscellaneous

In terms of audio and video, the Galaxy Z Flip6 will have a stereo speaker and will be able to playback 8K videos at 60fps. However, despite its $1,100 price tag, it does not support DeX, which will disappoint a lot of users.

Galaxy Z Flip6 Pricing

A quick reminder on the pricing of the Galaxy Z Flip6:

  • Galaxy Z Flip6 256 GB: $1,099.99 USD or INR 1,09,999
  • Galaxy Z Flip6 512 GB: $1,219.99 USD or INR 1,19,999

Finally, the Galaxy Z Flip6 will be available in four colorways—Mint, Silver Shadow, Yellow, and Blue.
