Samsung is known for pushing the boundaries of smartphone technology, and its foldable devices are no exception. The tech giant is currently working on two exciting new foldable smartphones: the Galaxy Z Flip7 and Galaxy Z Fold7. Tech enthusiasts around the world highly anticipate these models. Recently, important information about these devices has emerged. The foldable models have been added to the GSMA database and their existence has been officially confirmed. Let’s dig deeper into what this means and what we know so far.

Galaxy Z Flip7 and Galaxy Z Fold7 officially spotted for the first time

The GSMA database is a trusted source in the mobile industry. This database provides official details about devices that manufacturers are preparing to launch. Including the Galaxy Z Flip7 and Galaxy Z Fold7 in this database is an important step as it confirms that these foldable models will be released in the near future.

Previously, there were some conflicting reports about the model numbers of the Galaxy Z Flip7. For instance, Android Authority claimed the Z Flip7 would have the model number SM-F751. However, the GSMA database proved this information was incorrect. The Galaxy Z Flip7 is listed with the model number “SM-F766” in the database.

Samsung wanted to bring the model numbers of the Z Flip and Z Fold series to a similar standard. The previous foldable phones, the Galaxy Z Fold6 (SM-F956) and the Galaxy Z Flip6 (SM-F741), had significantly different model numbers. While the Flip models ended with “1,” the Fold models ended with “6.” To address this inconsistency, Samsung has decided to assign the model number SM-F766 to the Z Flip7. This is a logical move that brings more uniformity to the naming scheme.

Unlike these, the Galaxy Z Flip FE’s model number has been revealed in our database to be SM-F761. Samsung will definitely release a Galaxy Z Flip FE model. Also, the Galaxy Z Fold7’s model number has been spotted as SM-F966. Interestingly, the database currently only includes US versions of these models. In the coming weeks or months, other regional variants are expected to appear in the database.

Galaxy Z Flip7 & Galaxy Z Fold7 Expected Specifications

One of the most exciting details about these foldable smartphones is their potential processor. Rumors suggest that both the Galaxy Z Flip7 and Galaxy Z Fold7 will feature the Exynos 2500 SoC, Samsung’s latest and most powerful chipset. This processor promises improved performance, better energy efficiency, and enhanced AI capabilities, making it ideal for foldable devices.

The Galaxy Z Flip7 is expected to continue with its compact, clamshell design, making it perfect for users who want a stylish yet functional smartphone. On the other hand, the Galaxy Z Fold7 is likely to maintain its larger, tablet-like display when unfolded, appealing to users who prioritize productivity and multitasking.

Samsung is not stopping with just these two foldable models. The company is reportedly working on other innovative products, including the Galaxy Z Flip FE (Fan Edition) and the Galaxy Z Fold SE (Special Edition). In future updates, we can expect to learn more about these new models and their features.

One of the most critical questions is: when will these devices be released? According to available information, the Galaxy Z Flip7 and Galaxy Z Fold7 are expected to be officially announced within the next six to seven months. This timeline is in line with Samsung’s strategy of launching new foldable devices during its annual Galaxy Unpacked event.
