MG Majestor India Release Date

MJ Majestor

The automaker will announce the Majestor on February 12, 2026. While there’s no word on the car’s booking and delivery schedule, we believe bookings could begin on the same day, and deliveries could commence later in March or in April, if the company wants to kick-start the new financial year with sales.

MG Majestor Powertrain

The Majestor could feature the Gloster’s 2-liter twin-turbo diesel engine. It produces a maximum power of 216hp and a peak torque of 479Nm. The engine could be paired with an eight-speed torque converter unit. Furthermore, the Majestor could feature an all-wheel-drive system.

MG Majestor Key Features

Interior

MJ Majestor

We haven’t seen the Majestor’s interiors in spy shots; they’re reportedly heavily inspired by the Maxus D90’s. If that’s the case, the Indian version of the vehicle could get a floating 12.3-inch infotainment screen, a deep-seater driver’s instrument cluster (roughly about the same size), and a three-spoke steering wheel with controls on both sides.

Features such as three-zone automatic climate control, a 12-speaker sound system, and a panoramic sunroof should be standard on the Majestor; it should also offer heated front seats with massage functionality (available only for the driver or the chauffeur). Since most of these features are also available on the Gloster, MG should also offer additional perks with the Majestor.

Exterior

The Majestor is one of the boldest and most aggressive SUVs the automaker sells in India. On the front, it features a massive blacked-out grill with a glossy finish, sleek DRLs, and vertically stacked LED headlights. At the lower part of the bumper, you’ll find the matte-finish cladding, which gives the SUV a rugged look.

The chunky cladding at the front extends along the vehicle’s profile as well. Other key elements on the side profile include dual-tone 19-inch alloy wheels (quite similar to those on the MG Gloster), blacked-out door handles (an unusual design choice), black roof rails, and strong character lines. On the back is a connected LED taillight setup, along with a black bumper, a skid plate, and dual-exhaust vents.

MG Majestor Expected Price

The MG Majestor could be priced around Rs. 50 lakhs (ex-showroom). Since it’s an expensive car, it may not be available in multiple trims or variants in India initially. At this price, the car will rival the Toyota Fortuner, Skoda Kodiaq, Jeep Meridian, and the upcoming Volkswagen Tayron R-Line.
