These 5 New Exciting Features By Google Are Available For All Android Devices

Tech Giant Google has rolled out five new and exciting features for Android users. These new capabilities include Talkback, Earthquake Alerts, Text-to-Speech, Music for Circle to Search, and Google Maps for WearOS. The best part about these five new handy features is that these aren’t limited to Google Pixel devices only. They can be accessed by any Android user on their smartphone or smartwatch in coming weeks. Google has confirmed that although it has started rolling out these updates immediately it might take up to fourteen days before all Android users receive them. Let us have a look at the five new functionalities announced by the brand.

5 New Android Features Announced By Google

1. TalkBack

One of the most exciting features is TalkBack capability which is Android’s built-in screen reader made to help users with visual impairments. It now uses Gemini, Google’s AI model to offer an even more comprehensive and detailed audio description for various images, messages, or social media posts. This new feature aims to offer a better experience to those who can’t see or have low vision disabilities.

2. Earthquake Alerts

This feature was earlier available in Beta, but now is an official feature. It can now be used by Android users within the US. It helps provide real-time earthquake alerts based on crowd-sourced detection tech, thus offering more safety for those living in earthquake-prone zones.

3. Text-to-Speech

Google Chrome has gotten better with the introduction of a text-to-speech feature. The feature lets users hear articles and web pages within the Chrome browser. They can even customize the audio experience by altering speed, voice type, and language, making it suitable for them to consume content on the page.

4. Music for Circle to Search

This feature has been in testing for a while now and finally, it has rolled out for Android devices. Circle to Search has gotten Music capability which means Android devices will be able to identify the music playing on their device or surrounding environment. All the users have to do is tap the music button and they will be able to discover the name of the song, and artist, and even get direct links to YouTube videos.

5. Google Maps on WearOS

Android devices running Wear OS are all set to get Google Maps. It will allow the users to get maps directly from their watches, without the need for a smartphone. They have to be connected to the internet to search for destinations using voice and can also check their exact location with a tap on their smartwatch screen.
