In today’s times, most smartphones are retailed through e-commerce platforms like Flipkart, Amazon, and Tata Cliq. This helps consumers in purchasing the phone of their choice from the comfort of their homes. Many new smartphones launch exclusively on these platforms too, like the Vivo T1 5G that launched yesterday.

Although online shopping is an easy way to buy smartphones of your choice, sometimes consumers might get deceived. Recently a Twitter User @Prahlad Saini tagged Smartprix and Flipkart and complained about receiving an ikall device instead of iPhone 12 Mini which he had ordered. His tweet reads-

@flipkartsupport #iphonescam @AppleSupport @Apple what about my iPhone order issue? Ikall brand item delivered instead iPhone 12 Mini, but not help by Flipkart yet, I also hv unboxing video, I also sent product pics, id and signed FIR letter as you said, need help @Smartprix @_Kalyan_K

The tweet by the consumer

The tweet indicates that the consumer who had ordered and paid for iPhone 12 Mini has received an ikall phone and is now not getting a resolution by Flipkart. The consumer has shared some pictures of the device he has received.

Though Flipkart has replied to his first tweet the message seems very vague as they have just mentioned a previous message which resolved the issue and asked to contact them if there’s any further issue.

We don’t know exactly what resolution Flipkart has given to the consumer, but it is for sure that the response isn’t satisfactory as in another tweet consumer has mentioned that it has been 12 days since he has been in touch with the customer support team of Flipkart and since last 5 days no one from the portal has contacted him.

We can’t authenticate the validity of the consumer’s claims but if there’s any truth in this complaint, then the e-commerce portal should provide a refund or legit product to the consumer as early as possible. Otherwise, this will be a case of cheating the consumer, which won’t do well for the credibility of the website.
