Fossil Gen 5 Smartwatch with Wear OS launched in India at Rs. 22,995

Fossil unveiled the Generation 5 of its Wear OS-based smartwatch back in August. A few months later, the American brand has brought the phone onto the Indian market. It runs on a Snapdragon 3100 chip and boasts a multi-day battery life, a speaker, 2x storage and more.

The new Gen 5 sports a 1.3-inch AMOLED touchscreen panel with a Sunlight boost option for better legibility outdoors. It comes with a 44mm case and the strap is 22mm in length.

Under the hood, it ticks on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Wear 3100 platform with Google’s Wear OS on top. The internals also comprises of 8GB of storage and 1GB of RAM. It is compatible with Android 4.4 (excluding Go edition) and iOS 10.

The key highlight is its battery capacity that claims to endure for several days. You get to choose between four presets – Extended battery mode, Daily mode, Custom mode, and Time-only mode. It supports fast charging too.

Fossil has stowed in features such as Google Assistant, heart rate tracking, untethered GPS, NFC for Google Pay. There are several 3rd party apps preloaded like Cardiogram, Spotify, Noonlight, and Nike Run Club.

You could grab the Fossil Gen 5 at Rs. 22,995 from Fossil.in and its retail partners. Both the watch and strap come out in multiple color variants.
