Fossil Gen 5E with Wear OS, SD 3100 SoC, and AMOLED display launched in India

Fossil has expanded its smartwatch portfolio in India with today’s Gen 5E launch. The Wear OS-based wearable is powered by Snapdragon 3100 Wear SoC. It comes in 42mm and 44mm diameters, interchangeable straps, and an AMOLED panel.

Let’s see what all new it brings to the wrist compared to the predecessor (Gen 5).

Fossil Gen 5E Specs

Compared to the standard model, the Gen 5E comes with a smaller 1.19-inch AMOLED touch screen that sports 390 by 390-pixel resolution. You can pick the watch in two case dimensions viz. 42mm and 44mm. This is bound to a 22mm detachable strap (stainless steel as well as leather).

The smartwatch is still running on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Wear 3100 chip coupled with Google’s Wear OS software. The internal storage is 4GB and RAM is 1GB.

Fossil claims a battery life of up to 24 hours backed by fast charging which can fill the tank up to 80% in 50 mins.

Coming to the fitness side of things, you get trackers for heart rate, steps taken, distance traveled, calories burnt, and more. Other things in the mix are 3ATM water resistance, a built-in speaker, mic, Google Assistant, and real-time notification sync.

Fossil Gen 5E is available in Gold, Grey, Black, Brown, Pink colors via Flipkart at Rs. 18,495.
