The camera uses a 26.1 MP back-illuminated X-Trans CMOS 4 sensor paired with the X-Processor 5. This combination delivers faster image processing compared to the previous generation, along with improved responsiveness across shooting modes. On the video side, the X-T30 III supports 6.2K recording at 30 fps in 4:2:2 10-bit color using the full sensor in an open gate format. This allows flexibility to crop content later for different aspect ratios without losing quality. It also supports 4K at 60 fps and Full HD at 240 fps for slow-motion footage. Digital image stabilization is included for smoother handheld recording.

A new Film Simulation dial has been added on the top plate, giving direct access to 20 film profiles. These include options like REALA ACE for natural tones and NOSTALGIC Neg. for a softer look. There are also three custom slots labeled FS1 to FS3, where users can save their own presets for quick switching between styles.
