Google Chat Huddles Reduces The Need For Lengthy Text Discussions

Google Chat huddles feature

Once a huddle has started, users can resize or drag the window, add video, or share their screen for a fuller meeting experience while multitasking in Chat. The feature can be helpful in a variety of scenarios, including colleagues syncing quickly to discuss a project. Further, the feature reduces the need for lengthy email or Chat discussions.

How To Start A Huddle In Google Chat?

For end users, Huddles are available in direct messages, group messages, and spaces. To start a Huddle, users can click on the Video icon in the top right corner of the chat message and then select “Start a huddle.” When a user is requested to join a huddle, they’ll see a chat chip in their message thread that says [user] has started the huddle. They’ll also see the huddles toggle in the Chat header for that conversation.

However, if Meet is turned OFF for users in a domain, they’ll not be able to create Huddles. Even so, they can still join Huddles.
