Recently, Google introduced the Gemini language model with advanced multimodal capabilities. On December 13, the company announced that it is making one of the three Gemini models, i.e., Gemini Pro, available to developers and organizations, along with a range of other AI tools, models, and infrastructure. Developers looking to try Gemini Pro can use the API via AI Studio.

Developers Now Have Access To Gemini Pro Via Google AI Studio

Per the official blog post, Gemini Pro is now available to developers in Google AI Studio via the Gemini API. It is also available to enterprises through Google Cloud’s Vertex AI platform. Along with this, Google is also introducing other models in Vertex AI to help developers and enterprises flexibly build and ship applications, including an upgraded Imagen 2 text-to-image diffusion tool and a family of fine-tuned foundation models for the healthcare industry.

Google’s Imagen 2 Is Here As Well

Google’s most advanced text-to-image diffusion technology from DeepMind, Imagen 2, delivers significantly improved image quality. It also adds features like the ability to generate a wide variety of creative and realistic logos, including letter marks, abstract logos, and emblems, for businesses, brands, and products.

Regarding the healthcare industry, MedLM, a family of foundation models, is coming to Google’s open Model Garden in the coming weeks. It builds on the Med-PaLM 2 foundation model that came out earlier this year.

Duet AI For Developers Provides Ease Of Coding

Last but not least, there’s the Duet AI for Developers, which is now generally available. The collaborator offers AI-powered code and chat assistance to help developers build applications inside their favorite editor and software development environments.

It also helps run applications on the cloud. Further, Duet AI for Developers provides built-in support around privacy, security, and compliance requirements. “We will be incorporating Gemini across our Duet AI portfolio over the next few weeks,” writes Google in an official blog post.
