Google I/O 2021 to be held virtually from May 18 to May 20: What to expect and how to register

This year’s Google IO will be held virtually from May 18 to May 20. Also, it will be free to attend. That should excite developers and fans alike as last year’s event had got canceled ’cause 2020.

In the 3 days of Google IO 2021, you will have Consumer and Developer Keynotes presenting “company and product news” accompanied by Technical Sessions for “product announcements and how to adopt new features.” You can stream them on demand then or wait for the full cut till late April.

Further, there will be guided workshops featuring AMA and QA sesh with Google product experts, and Meet-up forums to engage with fellow attendees. Not only that you can also be part of Interactive Sandboxes to get a hands-on experience of new Google products, and access always-on, self-learning exercises through Codelabs and Learning Pathways.

The Google I/O 2021 registration window to take part in all these is currently open. So, if you are interested jump straight in.

Finally, at the event, we might get more evidence and details regarding the upcoming Android 12 software and some key hardware launches (like the rumored Pixel 5a and Pixel Buds a).
