Google Maps has been a go-to for many travelers and commuters. It constantly evolves to make navigation smoother. In its latest update, Google Maps introduces two exciting features to enhance your journey.

Firstly, finding charging stations is now a breeze for electric vehicle (EV) owners. With the new update, Google Maps displays the locations of nearby EV charging stations. Initially available on Android Auto, this feature is now accessible directly through Google Maps, helping EV drivers plan their routes more efficiently.

If you are an EV user and would like to use this feature, you’ll have to set your vehicle to electric first. By default, Google Maps shows you gas stations nearby, assuming you have a regular gas vehicle. You can change this by going to Settings > Navigation settings.

Secondly, when you search for a road on Google Maps, the road itself is now highlighted in blue. This addition provides a clearer visual representation of the road. Earlier, you would only see a dropped pin on the road, which, to be honest, is not the best experience.

Now, you have the blue highlight and the pin-drop for easier road visibility. This feature aims to make it easier for users to identify and navigate roads, especially in unfamiliar areas.

These new features simplify navigation and enhance the overall user experience, making Google Maps a more helpful tool for travelers and commuters.
