We are months away from an official debut, and like clockwork, the Google Pixel 11 Pro has surfaced in a series of high-quality CAD renders, courtesy of OnLeaks and Android Headlines. Having covered the evolution of the Pixel line for over a decade, I’ve seen Google oscillate between radical redesigns and subtle refinements. For 2026, it appears the search giant is doubling down on the latter.

An Iterative Polish
At first glance, the Google Pixel 11 Pro retains the iconic silhouette that has defined the brand since the Pixel 9 series. However, the “devil is in the details. Looking at the renders, it appears that the phone now has significantly thinner display bezels, pushing the 6.3-inch LTPO AMOLED panel closer to a truly “all-screen” visual experience.
The Pixel signature horizontal camera bar has also received a visual tweak of sorts. The camera bar is more defined, hefty and premium looking like previous generation model. It still carries a triple camera setup which will mostly stay the same as last generation Pixel 10 Pro barring sensor upgrades.
The Mystery of the Missing Sensor
Perhaps the most surprising revelation is what isn’t there. The infrared temperature sensor, a polarizing “Pro” exclusive since the Pixel 8 Pro, is missing from these renders. While niche, the sensor allowed users to measure the temperature of objects (and later, humans). Its removal suggests Google may be pivoting away from experimental hardware in favor of more practical internal upgrades.

The Specs Showdown
Under the hood, the Pixel 11 Pro is expected to be a powerhouse. It will likely debut the Tensor G6 chip, which is to be manufactured on TSMC’s cutting-edge process for improved efficiency and thermal management. Some reports also indicate that Google may finally ditch Samsung modems in favor of a MediaTek M90 solution.
The Pixel 11 Pro is expected to come with a 5,000mAh battery and a compact footprint nearly identical to its predecessor. While we do not have any concrete camera specs, I suspect that Google will likely be using the same setup as seen on Pixel 10 Pro (50MP primary, 48MP Ultra-wide and 48MP 5X Telephoto lens).

It is clear that with the Pixel 11 Pro, Google is not aiming to reinvent the wheel and is rather leaning on refinements as a winning formula. We expect Google to officially launch the Pixel 11 Pro sometime in August 2026.
