Although the newly unveiled Pixel 5 and Pixel 4a 5G won’t be making their way to India, the regular Pixel 4a (non-4G one) is set to launch in the country on Oct 17. This has been confirmed by the brand itself through Twitter. The official “Made by Google” handle has revealed the detail to some eager users, who are likely from the #teampixel club.

The tweet also mentions Flipkart as the exclusive outlet to purchase the Pixel 4a. Well, this was something we already knew. The eCommerce giant has been teasing the impending launch via a dedicated page along with the highlight features of the phone.
The Google phone brings the marquee camera quality, the best of Android with some Pixel-specific treats, and a set of mid-range specs.

The phone has got a very minimal design, and easy to maneuver footprint. It is made of plastic and weighs about 143g. By the front, there is a 5.81-inch FHD+ OLED display with a punch-hole cutout. Inside it lies an 8MP selfie snapper. The back camera is a 12.2MP sensor that supports 4K video recording at 30fps.
The real magic of Pixels, as you know, comes from algorithmic computations. This conjures up stuff like Live HDR+, Astrophotography, Night Sight, Portrait mode, and more. Speaking of software, it could possibly ship with Android 11 out of the box. The fine print also specifies the 3-year version upgrade along with security patches. It also packs several other tricks in the bag such as Adaptive Battery, Pixel Recorder app, and Personal Safety app, among other things.
Under the hood, the phone is running on a Snapdragon 730G chip, coupled with 6GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB (UFS 2.1) storage, and a 3140mAh battery with 18W fast charging.
