Google Pixel 7 Series & Pixel Watch to launch on October 6: Read on to know more

We have just a few hours to go for the big Apple iPhone 14 Series launch and Google has made a big announcement. The brand has confirmed that it is launching the next Pixel Series, that is the Google Pixel 7 Series and Pixel Watch on the 6th of October. These products were shown off by Google during their I/O that took place earlier in 2022. Google has also announced “additions to the Nest smart home portfolio” during the upcoming event.

Google Launch Event: When & How to watch

The Google Event will take place at 7:30 PM IST on October 6. The event will be streamed on the company’s social media handles and YouTube page. You can watch the livestream there.

Google Pixel 7 Series: Expectations

The Google Pixel 7 Series will include Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro devices. The Pixel 7 Pro is expected to come with a 6.7-inch or 6.8-inch curved display that will be an LTPO OLED panel with Quad HD+ resolution. It will have support for 120Hz refresh rate and will be protected by Corning Gorilla Glass protection.

Both Pixel 7 and 7 Pro will be powered by second-generation Tensor chipsets and run Android 13 out of the box. The Google Pixel 7 will come in Obsidian, Lemongrass and Snow colors whereas the Pro variant will come in Obsidian, Hazel, and Snow color variants.

Google Pixel Watch: Expectations

Google shared some images of its upcoming watch during I/O 2022 that show the watch having a circular display, with a metal frame and slim bezels along with a crown on the right side. The company claims it is made of 80% recycled stainless steel.

Google claims that the Pixel Watch will run WearOS UI with fluid navigation and smart notifications. It will have support for Google Assistant, Google Maps, and Google Wallet. The users will be able to answer calls, make calls, send messages, pay, control home, and more from their wrist.

More will be known about these devices as the launch date gets closer.
