Google Pixel 7a confirmed to launch in India on May 11

Ever since Google confirmed the date for its I/O 2023 to be May 10th, the same date is being considered as the launch date for quite a few hardware products from the brand. One of the most anticipated launches is the 3rd member of the Google Pixel 7 family, the Pixel 7a smartphone. Not only has the Google Pixel 7a been confirmed to launch on May 10, but now its India launch date has been confirmed as well.

The budget Pixel 7a is arriving in India a day after its global unveiling, that is 11th of May 2023. The smartphone will sell via Flipkart.

Google Pixel 7a India launch date

Google has announced the launch date of Pixel 7a in India today via its Twitter handle. There is a teaser image of the phone which also confirms one of the hero colors of the Pixel 7a– blue. The blue shade will most probably be called the sky. Pixel 7a is expected to arrive in 3 more shades- black, white, and coral orange. Out of these which ones come to India remains to be seen.

Pricing will be revealed on the 11th of May when the smartphone goes official in the country. Pixel 6a was launched for Rs. 40,000 in India, so Pixel 7a will be almost the same or slightly higher than its predecessor.

Google Pixel 7a: Expected specs

Google Pixel 7a is expected to be powered by an in-house Tensor G2 chipset paired with 8GB RAM and up to 128GB storage. It is said to sport a 6.1-inch OLED panel with a 90Hz refresh rate and have a dual camera setup at the back, including a 64MP primary and 12MP ultrawide lens. At the front will be a 10.8MP selfie camera. The Pixel 7a will run Android 13 out of the box and pack a 4400mAh battery with 20W wired charging support.
