Google Pixel 7a & Pixel Fold launch timeline, storage options & colorways tipped

Google I/O is about to take place on 10th May 2023 and while earlier it was being said that the event will see Google Pixel 7a and Google Pixel Fold getting an announcement, it seems like the company’s exact launch plans are known now. According to 9to5Google, the Pixel 7a and Pixel Fold will launch by mid-June. The report also claims that a new blue shade of the Pixel Buds A-Series will also be unveiled at the same time. All these new devices might be announced at the I/O that will take place a month before in May.

Google Pixel Fold: Details leaked

The tipster claims that the Google Pixel Fold might come in a single 256GB storage variant, though earlier reports claimed a 512GB storage option as well. The Foldable is said to come in 2 colors- Carbon (black/dark grey) and Porcelain (white). Google might also launch dedicated cases in Haze Midtone, Porcelain, and Sky colors.

Pixel Fold is expected to come with a classic notebook-like design similar to Oppo Find N. The front might offer a 5.9-inch viewing area and in its unfolded form, it might be a 7.69-inch display. The foldable will be powered by Google’s Tensor G2 chipset. The price is expected to be around Rs. 1.45 lakh.

Google Pixel 7a: Expected features

The report claims that Google Pixel 7a’s alleged listing shows a 128GB storage option, just like Pixel 6a had. The smartphone is said to come in Carbon, Cotton, and Arctic blue colors.

Pixel 7a is expected to look similar to the existing Pixel 7, which means it might have a 6.1-inch FHD+ display and a 90Hz refresh rate. The camera module might have a 64MP Sony IMX787 sensor along with a 12MP ultrawide lens. At the front, Pixel 7a is said to feature a 10.8MP selfie lens and the smartphone will run Android 13 with 3 years of Android OS updates. Pixel 7a will be powered by a Tensor G2 chipset.

Details about the upcoming Pixel Buds A-Series still remain unclear.
